Predator & Prey As An Artform

As a writer and an author, my signature style has evolved from a topic I couldn't be more passionate about. Namely, the interactions between anthropomorphic mammals of predator and prey species—often simply called "pred/prey" by me—is a topic of vast complexity and nuance. Be it in romantic or platonic settings, there is always another factor to consider, and another approach to think through.

Yet, properly representing the divide between the respective hunting and fleeing instincts of the involved species—oftentimes juxtaposed with the true desires that go beyond these—is a task I have become adapt at and one I revel doing. No matter if it concerns my own works or those which have been commissioned, this thematic is always treated with the time and respect it deserves.

When it comes to pred/prey, I am not just an author—I am a fanatic.

Own Works

To Date A Predator (Fanwork)

To Date A Predator—short "TDAP"—represents FurFanatic's first work as an author and is an ongoing work. TDAP bases itself on Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, the two main protagonists of Zootopia, while playing in a vastly different universe more akin to Beastars.

TDAP features a society of anthropomorphic mammals where both predators and prey have gained sentience at around the same time in history and have henceforth lived apart. Now we follow Judy Hopps into the experiment that is the city of Zootopia that is the only city in the world of Animalia that features both animal parties living together. There, she loses her innocence regarding predators, stagnates in her dream job of which the high turnover rate makes all to much sense now, with her only hope of career progression and mental salvation being Nick Wilde, a sly, smarmy, and utterly changed fox after what had transpired between the two during the case they had met in.
